Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • BS or AS in mechanical engineering/mechanical design/industrial automation or comparable program. Will also consider individuals with 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Experience in machine design and mechanical design considerations involved with robotics
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • CAD skills including Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks
  • Working knowledge of various fabrication methods including, basic machining, welding. Candidate does not need to be proficient in these skills, but must be aware of limitations and considerations these processes impose on mechanical design.

Quest Industrial is a growing robotic automation firm. Quest specializes in designing, constructing and installing handling equipment for the food, plastics and metals industries. Our team promotes a family-like atmosphere where creative thinking and continuous learning are embraced.  While working for Quest Industrial as an Automation Programming Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop some of the newest technology available in the robotics industry. On a daily basis you will work on the construction of new robotic automation projects, as well as, travel to customer sites to work on existing equipment. Both over the phone trouble-shooting and travel to offsite locations are required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills and the desire to work.
  • PLC programming, HMI development and troubleshooting skills.
  • General understanding of automation; including but not limited to: high-speed assembly
    machinery, SCADA / Gantry / Six-Axis Robotics, FANUC robots and general automation
    technology.  Familiarity of AutoCAD electrical is a plus.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Project Managers are responsible for customer satisfaction, commercial success and staff development on the projects they lead. Quest is looking for an individual that can manage a rolling portfolio of projects for several customer accounts and consistently deliver successful projects.

Quest’s customers are most often manufacturing managers, maintenance leads and senior controls engineers working in process manufacturing, research or related facilities. Project work involves some or all of design, build, test, deliver/install, start up and providing post project support.

CHARACTERISTICS:

PM must be an effective communicator.

PM must be able to multi-task.

PM must possess industrial knowledge (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, robotic, etc.)

PM must be able to motivate others.

PM must be able to travel and work irregular hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position requires an ability to simultaneously manage a range of project sizes with varied commercial values for a diverse portfolio of customers. PM will be involved will all aspects of assigned projects from concept to sign-off, as well as, long-term customer support.
  • Project pre-execution responsibilities include working with Sales Account Managers and estimating Engineers to ensure proposals include well defined deliverable and a supporting delivery work plan with detailed tasks, budgets, resources and schedules that build up to each deliverable.
  • PM must effectively plan, direct, coordinate, communicate and report internally to his/her team and externally to the customer.
  • PM must work as a partner with fellow Quest managers and laborers. The PM develops project timelines to manage work scope and stay on plan for schedule and hours budgeted.
  • PM maintains a continuous reporting status to both Ownership and Senior Management on all projects assigned. The position requires reporting of each assigned project’s progress, scope, schedule and resource information and customer service follow-up.

Responsibilities

An Automation Service Engineer at Quest will repair and adjust electrical components controlling mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. You will have the opportunity to solve problems with industrial controls including PLC’s, high voltage AC and DC, motors, drives, and unique equipment. With Quest you will be able to help develop new products and troubleshoot issues with existing equipment.

  • Experience with modern field wiring practices including NEC/NFPA in addition to conduit and cable management for industrial equipment
  • Organization skills for proper shop management including but not limited to: sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining building and equipment
  • Certified welder is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic robotic programming experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and customer oriented environment

As a Fabrication and Assembly Tech you will work as part of a team to fabricate and assemble the Quest Industrial line of equipment.  Tasks completed include, but are not limited to, cutting, de-burring and welding steel, as well as, following prints to assemble. Previous experience is desired, however, Quest is willing to invest in training top-notch individuals.  Job Description

Our company is a growing Robotic Integration and Automation firm with an emphasis in Food, Plastics and Metals.  Quest Industrial embraces a family-like atmosphere in which creative thinking is welcomed and dedication is needed.  Quest is currently seeking a self-starter whom is willing to learn and can work under minimal supervision The Logistics Specialist (LSL) would be responsible for the component tracking and organization of the projects.  This would entail working with engineers to make sure that the master tracking document is complete and up to date, as well as, checking in inventory and making sure that they are kitted and prepped for use.  He or she would be responsible for tracking and transporting parts from one vendor to the next and making sure that the parts arrival is on time as per the project time line.

In addition; the LSL will be responsible for the creation of project spare parts lists and equipment manuals.  Additional duties would include: assisting with inventory management, oversee general shop organization and help assemble and test equipment when needed. LSL will oversee and mentor other Logistics Specialists (LS) in an effort to grow the department and company as a whole.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Higher level education a plus
  • Previous office experience preferred but entry level applicants will be considered

 Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with MS Office Suite and QuickBooks
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Savvy internet and technical skills required, including use of e-mails, group messaging and data research and collection.
